Colony Square 12
** 1/2*** 1/2

The Colony Square 12 was built in about 1994, if memory serves. The screens and sound are new and crisp. The auditoriums are decorated with fiber optic art, which gives the whole place a warmer, more welcoming feel than your average dozen-plex. The four biggest screens/auditoriums are very nice.

The Colony changed ownership in 2000, and in summer 2001, they converted all the theaters to stadium seating. The view of the screen wasn't a problem to begin with, but audiences demand the word "stadium." The switch results in fewer seats in each auditorium.

Caveats: The 8 smaller screens are too small for my tastes. They have the shoebox feel to them, and I am often disappointed that I made the drive for one of the little screens.
