The Denver Pavilions was finished in the late 1990s, and it remains one of the best theaters in town.
All theaters at The Pavilions have stadium seating, and the sound has always been good. Even the small theaters are good-sized, and the big ones are downright impressive.
Being on the 16th Street Mall adds to the experience of seeing a movie. You can't leave the theater without seeing the Denver skyline. It's a beautiful, well-planned, pedestrian-friendly urban setting.
Parking downtown can be difficult, but luckily the underground parking garage is free (after 4-hour validation, giving you time for dinner or shopping).
Caveat: Getting out of the parking lot after a full movie can be frustrating. After Cast Away, we waited 30 minutes in a chaotic, claustrophobic, fume-ridden queue, and it has happened again since then.
