“I screwed up and, in a moment of absent-mindedness masquerading as self-assurance, I left my favorite lens at home, so most of the red carpet photos are extremely blah

“Attached, however, is one of my all-time favorites, a gem plucked from my Thursday night rubble. It’s a picture of Rian Johnson, director of Brick and The Brothers Bloom, taking a picture of his parents and brother being interviewed on the red carpet.
