This courtroom drama is well made, and John Travolta, William H. Macy, and Robert Duvall all give very good performances. Macy is often typecast as a nerd, so I think this role (as the law firm’s financial officer) is one of his best. Nevertheless, the movie takes too long to get where it’s going, and while the real-life aspect of the story is interesting, the film itself is more bland than I would have hoped. It’s not bad, but with everything else out there, I won’t recommend it.
